Whiskey SourWhiskey Sour


  • 2 ounces (about 60mls) bourbon
  • 1 ounce (about 30mls) freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon of sugar
  • 1 egg white (optional)



  • 1 cherry or 1 slice of orange or nothing at all



  • Pour ingredients into a cocktail shaker
  • Add ice
  • Shake for at least 10 seconds (if you use the egg white shake harder and for a bit longer)
  • Strain into a chilled cocktail glass or an old fashioned glass with 1 large ice cube
  • Garnish as desired
